Fun day at the park

Took Dexter to the park with his friend Lucky today. They had a wonderful time , and played for many hours. They also befriended some other dogs, luckily the dogs didn't mind the attentions of two silly boys. They met a pair of cavalier king charles spaniels (Dexter chased the Tricolour one , he liked it better than the blenheim lol) They met a huge dalmatian, a border terrier, a big lab (that Dexter was scared of lol) plus some pugs. Dexter wasnt too sure about the pugs, dont think he realised they were dogs too.

He had a good play with Lucky (boys play so silly and rough), and a good run (Lucky cant keep up with his gangly legs, he gives it a good go though bless him)

We then went to a cafe for a treat for the human members of the park trip, although the pups shared a mini milk ice lolly. The pups then went off the lead for a bit longer and made friends with another border terrier pup, this one was as silly as they were, a really cute pup. Lucky also gatecrashed a picnic for some yoghurt.

Two young girls came over and asked permission to stroke the dogs which was refreshing, so many people just come over and stroke dogs without asking. Then it was time for an icecream and then home , where one tired pooch laid down for a nice sleep, and I admit, I had a nap myself. Was a lovely day and lovely weather, and next month we are going to a charity dog show, hopefully we will win a rosette lol and the boys will behave somewhat
